A Tail of Two Cats

Difficulty level: Medium, Members only
Skills Needed:
Reward: 2 Quest Points, 2 Antique Lamps (2500 exp in skill of choice
per lamp). One mouse toy (it's a mouse on a string that you can wield), A
doctor's or nurse's hat you get during the quest.
Items Needed: 5 Death Runes, Cat Amulet Speak,
kitten/cat/overgrown cat, Logs (any), Tinderbox, 1 Chocolate Cake (steal a cake
from Ardogune and buy a chocolate bar. Use chocolate bar with cake.), Bucket of
Milk, Shears, Rake, 4 Potato Seeds, 1 vial of water, White robe Top and Bottom
(such as desert robes), Seed Dibber, GP for Magic Carpet rides (1k is good).
Items Recommended: Varrock Teleport Runes, Falador Teleport Runes,
Burthorpe games Amulet.
Quests Needed: Icthlarin's Little Helper, Gertrude's Cat
Starting Location: Unferth, in his house in Burthorpe. Burthorpe
is north of the Heroes' Guild.
- To start, talk to Unferth in his house, east of the Burthorpe Castle (near
the Pub, you'll see the Blue Quest Star icon on your map). He'll ask if you
have a cat (kitten, cat or overgrown cat either one works). Go to your bank
and get one if you already haven't done so. (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AMULET OF
CATSPEAK ON AT ALL TIMES!!!! ...and cat with you :p)
- After talking to Unferth, he'll say that his cat Bob has been missing for
a week. Talk to Hild (the north-east house of Unferth's). She will ask you for
5 death runes to perform an enchantment on your Amulet of Cat speak, grab 5
death runes if you haven't already done so.
- Using the amulet --> it's simple..Bob walks around Runescape (yes,
EVERYWHERE) and all you gotta do is move a couple of whiskers. The moment the
Cat's eyes start glowing and the mouth moves, RUN in that direction, than
check it again after a few seconds and keep following that direction until you
find Bob.
- Bob says that he falls in love with a cat named Neite. Next, talk to
Gertrude (crazy cat lady in a house west of Varrock, south of Juliet's house).
- Your cat starts to act weird and knows of a legend about Robert the
Strong. Talk to the Reldo in the Varrock castle library.
- Go back to where you found Bob (most likely in that general area, if not
just use your amulet again.) Either use your dueling ring or teleport to
Lumbridge and start heading out to the Sphinx (in the Shantay Pass). (Waterskins
and desert boots and robes are required if you don't want to die. Also bring
money incase you're using the Magic Carpet). Sphinx is south of Pollniveach.
- After talking to the Sphinx you can choose to view the cutscene or not.. I
chose to view, I suggest you do too :P!
- Bob gives you a list. It's simple just interact with basically everything
in the house :p. Make the bed to tidy the house, get a pot of flour and an egg
and chocolate dust and use it with the stuff on the table, log in fireplace
than light it to warm him, weed the garden, use POTATO seeds on it (no need to
water or use compost) to tend the garden, use shears on human to clean him.
(Yes, you have to wait 35 minutes for potatoes.. better off doing them FIRST
before doing anything else.
- Unferth becomes ill after you finish the chores, go to the Apothecary in
Varrock behind the clothes store. He will tell you that Unferth isn't really
sick. He will ask you to dress as a nurse (he gives u a hat). You need to get
White Robes (top and bottom only) and a vial of water.
- Go back to Bob and watch the cutscenes than talk to Unferth again
QUEST COMPLETE!!!
