Dwarf Cannon Quest

Difficulty: Easy but rather long, Members Only

Reward: 1 Quest point, 750 Crafting experience, and the chance to purchase a cannon from the Engineer at the Dwarven Mine entrance (for 750k.)

Items needed: none

Start: go to the coal truck mine which is west of McGrubbs Wood, talk to the Dwarf Commander, he will say that they are here to protect the mines, however they do not have the man power. He will give you some rails and ask you to fix the broken rails in the fence just south.

Railing: The best way to fix the fence is to (from the inside of the fence) inspect every single railing in a logical order, e.g. going from the furthest left part of the fence to the part of the fence that is furthest on the right, inspecting each part as you go along. If you find a broken rail it will say so and give you the option to fix it.

Guard Tower: When you are finished go back to the commander and he will then ask you to check on the Guard Tower, which is directly south.

Go up the ladder and you will find that there is no one here, now you must go back to the Dwarven Commander and report to him that there is no one there.

He will send you to find clues about the disappearance of the man and the child, go back to the Tower and search in the South-West Corner of the room to find the Dwarven Remains, please note that these remains only spawn every 5 to 10 minutes so it may take a while before you get some.

The son: Go back to the Dwarven Commander again and he will ask you to search for the boy in the Goblin Hideout. Just beside the entrance to the Fishing Guild is a cave, as you enter it you should proceed to the farthest northerly room in the cave and you will reach a room full of crates with a large column in the top center. Go to this column and search the box, which is 1 crate east of the column. You will find the boy.

Fixing the cannon: Go back to the Dwarven Commander yet again and you will be given a toolkit to fix the cannon located in the shed. Keep inspecting and attempting to repair the cannon over and over until it is completely fixed (it normally takes about 2 attempts to fix each component).

Cannon Engineer: You will need to return to the Dwarven Commander and he will send you to find the Cannon Engineers, south of the Ice Mountain. The Cannon Engineer (Nulodion) can be found adjacent to the entrance to the Dwarf Mines. Talk to one of the Engineers there and he will give you a cannon ammo mould and a note (you may want to read this for your own information).

Return yet again from Ice Mountain to the Coal Truck Mine, talk to the Dwarf Commander and complete the quest.
