Legends Quest
Quest walkthrough by Mugol
Difficulty: Very Hard and Long
Reward: 4 Quest Points, Entrance to the Legends guild, experience in 4 selected stats.
Quest requirements: 107 Quest Points and must have completed
the Hero's Quest, Family Crest Quest, Underground Pass Quest, Shilo Village, and the Waterfall
Quest.
Skill needed: 56 Magic, 52 Mining, 50 Agility, 50 Crafting, 50
Smithing, 50 Strength, 50 Thieving, 50 Woodcutting, 45 Herblaw, 42 Prayer
Items need:
- Machete,
- 2+ Charcoal,
- 3+ Papyrus,
- Water/Earth/Body Runes,
- Lockpick,
- 2+ Gold Bars,
- Hammer,
- Pickaxe,
- 1 Soul, 1 Mind, 1 Earth, 2 Law Runes,
- Any Charge Orb spell Runes,
- 3+ Cosmics,
- 1+ Unpowered Orb,
- Diamond, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Opal, Jade and Red Topaz Cut Gems,
- Hatchet,
- Water Filled Vial,
- Rope,
and many other items you'll receive during the quest.
Start Point: Legends Guild Main gates - west of the Barbarian
outpost
1. Talk to Legends Guild Guard (North-East of Ardougne), she will tell you if you
qualify to start the quest.
2. Enter the guild, go to the the building on your left. Talk to Sir Radimus
Erkle. He will give you Notes you will have to carry during the whole quest. Next, search for a machete nearby.
If you ever die on the quest, you will have to buy Radimus Notes for 30gp.
3. Go to south Karamja toward Shilo Village. Visit the jungle shop and buy
charcoal and papyrus. Take also Radimus Notes, a hatchet and a machete with you.
4. Pass Shilo Village, go south, stop and cut
down the path through the bush and the trees in order to get to the
Kharazi Jungle.
5. Map the jungle area by using the charcoal on the Radimus Scroll. You need
to map the Western, Middle and Eastern part of the jungle. Beware of aggressive
Kharazi Jungle animals (Oomlie Birds level 46 and Jungle Wolfs level 64.)
6. When ready, leave the Kharazi Jungle, talk to the forester man and show him the map. He will make a copy
and give you a Bull Roarer.
7. Return to the Jungle. Swing the Bull Roarer. After a few tries Gujuo will
appear. Talk
to Gujuo, he will tell you about the totem and the sacred Yommi tree. Ask him
about everything possible and finally tell him you will rescue Ungadulu.
8. Go to the small rocks in the North-West part of the Jungle, search one of the
rocks and crawl in (50 agility required.)
9. You'll find yourself in a cavern. Inspect
the firewall with Ungadulu inside. Do not touch the firewall! You will be told to get pure water.
10. Go back from the cave. Swing the Bull Roarer and talk to Gujuo again. He
will tell you you have to make a Golden Bowl to get pure water. Ask him about
everything again and you'll receive a
sketch of the bowl.
11. Get two gold bars (more is recommended as you can fail smithing the bowl) and a hammer.
Smith the gold bars by using them
on the anvil (50 Smithing Required.)
12. Talk to Gujuo, and he will show you how to bless the bowl. If you fail,
you will lose 5 prayer points and you will eventually have to use prayer pots.
13. With your blessed bowl go to the little pond in the center of the
Kharazi Jungle.
14. Use the machete on Tall Reed at the pond making a rod, next use the rod on the
water to fill the bowl with water.
15. Go back to the bank and take runes necessary to cast weaken, curse and
confuse spells.
16. Return to the Jungle, go to the cave and use pure water from the golden bowl on
the firewall to douse the flames.
17. Use all weaken spells on Ungadulu. Search quickly his desk and take a book.
Go outside of the firewall (investigate it.)
18. Search the rest of the room; you will find more notes hidden in the table,
the crude bed, and in the crate. Read all carefully.
19. Return to the bank. Take a lock pick, pickaxe, one soul rune, one
mind rune, one earth rune, two law runes, food, armor, weapon, restore potion,
optionally other potions.
20. Return to the cave and search the bookcase. Go through the hole. You'll find
yourself in a small chamber.
21. Approach the Ancient Gate, pick the lock by searching it. There's a risk of breaking
the lock pick.
22. Smash-to-bits all boulders on your way. If you fail, your mining skills will suffer.
23. Open the next Ancient Gate (50 Strength Required.) Restore your stats if
necessary.
24. Run past the Death Wings (level 83) and jump over the Jagged wall.
25. Go to the Ancient Wall and use on it runes in the following order: Soul,
Mind, Earth, Law, Law. Now you can pass this wall freely in the future.
26. Return to the bank. Take one of each 7 kinds
of gems (excluding Dragonstone): Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, Opal, Jade,
and Red Topaz. Gems should be cut. Return to the Ancient Wall.
27. Go inside, approach the pools. Place each kind of gem
in the correct pool to receive a Book of Binding. Don't worry - you won't lose
gems by improper placing.

28. Visit again the bank. Prepare for your first tough battle with a level 172
Demon: take best armor and weapon, super set, food. The demon will drain 75%
of your prayer, but even with remaining 25% you have a chance of paralyzing him,
so I also took Monk's Robes and Blessed Symbol of Saradomin.
29. Get more pure water and walk back to the firewall in the cave. Enter the octagon.
30. Once inside use the Book of Binding on Ungadulu.
He will change into a Nezikchened Demon (level 187) and attack
you. Do not run! The monster will heal if you run. You can use magic.
31. After you have defeated the demon, talk to Ungadulu. He will thank you and will give you
some Yommi Seeds. He will then tell you to add pure water. Use seeds on your remaining
pure water from the bowl - the seeds will germinate.
32. Walk back to the pond and try to get some water - you will see it is dried up. Swing the Bull Roarer
and talk to Gujuo. He will tell you you need to make a Bravery Potion.
33. Find Snake Weed and Ardrigal you might remember from the Jungle Potion
quest. Snake Weed is in the far western swamps of the jungle hidden in some
vines. Ardrigal is hidden in a palm tree east, close to the shipyard. Make
the Gujuo Potion.
You have a chance now to visit caves for the last time on the
quest
34. Visit the bank and prepare for the most difficult part of the quest.
Additionally to usual lockpick, hatchet and an axe bring an uncharged orb and runes
necessary to cast any orb charging spell. Bring also a rope, Gujuo Potion, super
set, restore prayer and best food you can get. At this moment I took the following items with me:


35. Go back to the ponds where you put 7 gems. Use the Charge Orb spell on the
Dark Metal Gate, you'll get in. Note, if you ever return here, you'll have to
cast this spell again.
36. When you get a notice saying,
�a terrible dear grips me�, drink a potion. You won't need this potion in
the future, even if you reenter this place.
37. If you do not have a rope, smash all the barrels. Beware - they are full of
nasty surprises! Use the rope on the Wooden Beam and quickly lower yourself into a room with a staircase.
If you are late then just search the Beam and find the rope again.
38. Do not take the Blue Wizard Hat. Go down the path, climbing over rocky
ledges. Your agility is highly
essential here. You may occasionally slip or completely fall when
you try to balance. You will take major damage if you fall while balancing.
39. In order to get the Heart Crystal you will have to kill one of the San
Tojalons (level 106), one of Irvig Senays (level 100) and on of Ranalph Devores
(level 92). All can be paralyzed. Each will drop one chunk of the crystal.
40. Put all 3 crystals into an Ancient Lava Furnace in the N-E corner of the
cave. You will get a heart shaped Red Crystal.
41. Look at the minimap and the room will look like a dragon head. Place the
crystal in its eye (use it on a Mossy rock there):

You will then get a glowing red crystal which you need to put it in the
mouth of the dragon (use on the Recess.)
42. Enter the cave through the Shimmering field and you will be greeted with lesser
demons (level 82). Walk (run) further and push the south-most boulder blocking the water. A ghost
will appear and he will state the stone he will move if you kill Viyeldi
Wizard. He will
then give you an obsidian dagger.
43. Return to the stairs passing Lesser Demons and floating shields. Try to
climb up the path. You'll fall many times, but finally you should make it.
44. Equip the dagger and try to pick up the hat. Viyeldi the Wizard (level 80)
will appear. Attack him with the dagger. The wizard will die instantly and the dagger will
now be glowing.
45. Now head back to the place with the ghost in the boulder. Equip your regular
weapon, use potions and push the boulder. The ghost will take your dagger
back, but suddenly a Nezikchened Demon (level 187) will appear. This time he will
drain your prayer almost to 0.
46. Kill the demon and push the boulder aside uncovering the source of the Pure
Water. Fill your bowl.
47. Get out of the cave. You can teleport if you have means, as it will be
probably faster.
48. Visit the bank for the last time and take a hatchet, black or better, prayer
pots, super pots and food.
49. Enter the jungle, swing the Bull Roarer and talk to Gujuo. He will explain
you how to plant your Yommi Seeds and grow a tree. If you lost your pure water
don't worry, the water pool is full of water again.
50. If you haven't already, water your Yommi Seeds until they have germinated
and refill the bowl. Plant them on any fertile earth spot.
51. Once the tree grows a bit and becomes young tree, water it with the Pure Water. Do it fast!
52. When the tree is full size, cut it down (use your hatchet on it.) Quickly use the
hatchet with the fallen tree two times until
you get a totem. If you are slow, the tree will rot.
53. Make sure you have full prayer and have all necessary potions for a tough
battle. You will have to replace the old totem with the totem you have made. Go
to the Easter part of the Kharazi Jungle and find the place with an old totem.
54. Use super potions and use your totem on the old one. Once again Nezikchened
will appear and will send on you level 106, 100 and 92 spirits you should remember
from the cave. Kill them without running.
55. Finally Nezikchened will attack you himself, leaving you only 25% of your
prayer. Kill him!
56. Once again use your totem on the old one. This time you will succeed.
Examine the totem and Gujuo will appear. He will thank you and give you a Gilded
Totem Pole.
57. Return the totem to Radimus in the Legends Guild. He will let you enter the
guild now.
58. When inside talk to Radimus again and claim your reward - experience in 4
freely selected skills. The quest is finished!
