Tourist Trap

Difficulty level: Medium, Members only

Reward: 2 Quest Points and you are given two times a choice between Smithing, Fletching, Agility and Thieving (You can pick same skill twice) for your bonus experience (9300 for level 55 skill), and the Wrought Iron Key, which is used to open the underground gate.

Skills needed: Level 10 Fletching and Level 20 Smithing.

Items need: Some food, Desert top, Desert bottom, Desert Shoes, 2 to 3 Water Skins, Knife, Weapon, Hammer, 1 to 2 Bronze bars, 10 feathers, about 200gp and an Entrance Pass. You can get all these items from Al Kharid Shantay Pass Shop near the entrance to the Desert, just trade with one of Shantay. There is also a bank chest there.

Start: The Shantay Pass, South of Al Kharid.

Note:  

• If you run out of water, use knife on cactus to fill your water skin up again.
• If you need food, there's a jug of wine on the second floor of the jail.
• If you get thrown into jail, search the window to get out and climb the rocks.
• If you get thrown into the underground mine jail, mine 15 rocks and talk to guard he will let you out.
• If you get caught by a guard you may be thrown into the desert and water taken away, make sure you have more than one water skin on you.

Part 1: Getting the key to the mining camp

1) Make sure you have all the items and go through the pass to talk to Irena. She will tell you her daughter has gone missing. Ask her when and what her daughter was doing at that time. Offer to help. 

2) Now go south until you find a mining camp. At the entrance of the camp, find the Mercenary Captain and right-click him to watch. Then, talk to him and ask if you can do anything to help. He will tell you to kill Al Zaba Bhasim.

3) Move to the west until you find a camp. Find Al Shabim in the big tent and he will tell you Al Zaba Bhasim does not exist. 

4) Go back to the Mercenary Captain and tell him the news and he will attack you. His key will automatically appear in your inventory after you kill him.

Part 2: Getting Access to mine

5) Enter the mining camp without any weapon or armour! Else you *will* be jailed.

6) Talk to a Male Slave and tell him you have just arrived. When he tells of a plan to escape, comment "That's interesting" and he will tell you about his bracelets. Offer to help to free him. If you fail, you will be put in jail. You will have to keep trying until you succeed and get his Slave's Robes and boots in exchange. 

7) Now put on your Slave's Robes and boots and wear them until the end of the quest. Open the large doors and run to the end of the mine to talk to the mercenary there. Tell him you want to change mining spots and comment that he's right after he responds. He will tell you to get a pineapple for him.

Part 3: Getting pineapple/plan

8) Get out of the mining camp and run West, to Bedabin Nomads Camp again. Talk to Al Shabim and he will tell you to steal a plan from Captain Siad to make secret weapons first. Here, he will also hand you a Bedobin Key. 

9) Go back to the mining camp and go to the 2nd floor of the jail. Try to open the chest and Captain Siad will stop you. Tell him the slaves have escaped and he will be distracted. (d4rk_kni78t: If not, examine one of the book cases in the room then you find a book on sailing after that then you go talk to the caption then he gets distracted then you steal the stuff out of the case.)
Now, you can open the chest and find the plan inside 

10) Take the plan to Al Shabim again and he will tell you to make the weapon. Go slightly north and you will find a small tent with an anvil inside. Use the plan with the guard and he will let you in. To make the weapon, use the bronze bar with the anvil and choose to follow the plan. After you are done, talk to Al Shabim again.

Part 4: Finding Ana

11) Now, you should have a pineapple and six bronze darts. Go back to the mercenary guard who asks for the pineapple and use the fruit on him. He may ask for another one but ignore him and walk through to the other part of the mine.

12) Move East and search the barrels until you find one that is empty. Take the empty barrel.

13) Now search the mining cart to ride on it. You may fall and hurt yourself. 

14) Go North-West and find Ana. Talk to her about escaping. After that, use the barrel on her and you will get her in it 

Part 5: Escaping with Ana

15) Go back and use the barrel with Ana inside with the mining cart. Next, ride in the cart yourself to get back.

16) After you reach the other side, search the barrels there again to find the one with Ana in it. Use this barrel on the winch nearby. Let the guard help you. When he questions, tell him he's gregarious. 

17) Get out of the mine and find the winch upstairs. Use the winch and you will haul Ana up. Search one of the barrels again to find the barrel with her inside. 

18) Use this barrel with the cart. Talk to the cart driver and say "Nice Cart!". Proceed on to joke with him until he asks you to stop. When he finally asks "What do you want" say "you see, its like this..." and agree to give him 100 Gold Pieces.. You have to pay 100gp. In case you fail to convince him, go for Ana again.

19) Go back to Irena and you will receive your reward!
